Massena Central & Salmon River Central Receive $2000 Each
Akwesasne – The Mohawk Bingo Palace Class II Casino donated $4000 to local high school lacrosse teams to assist with extra expenses incurred but not covered by the school district. Massena Central and Salmon River Central each received checks for $2000 on April 28th; both coaches were on hand to receive their checks from Janique Odjick, Mohawk Bingo Palace Marketing Manager.
The Massena and Salmon Lacrosse programs have been hit with additional costs associated with practice field rentals due to the long thaw as well as needed equipment to complete uniforms. They approached the Mohawk Bingo Palace about donating to ensure that the players have the opportunity to have a successful season and the Mohawk Bingo Palace was compelled to donate the funds.
The check presentation was made by Janique Odjick, Mohawk Bingo Palace Marketing Director on April 28, 2008, at the Mohawk Bingo Palace to David White, Salmon River Lacrosse Coach; Kristopher Covell, Massena Lacrosse Coach; and also on hand for the presentation was Larry Jenne, Massena’s Athletic Director. All expressed their appreciation for the donated funds and Palace’s associates wished them luck with their lacrosse seasons.
The Mohawk Bingo Palace Class II Casino, is owned by the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, is located at 202 State Route 37 on the Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation. For additional information please call 1-877-4JAKPOT or visit us on the web at http://www.mohawkpalace.com.
