Body found is man missing since Christmas Eve

The body of a 37-year-old Akwesasne man was found in Quebec waters last week after having been missing since Christmas Eve.

Alexander “Dooney” Vincent Lazore-Jocko was reported missing by family members on Dec. 24, 2007. At the time, police had very few clues but helicopters and crews searched the waters in and around Akwesasne.

Quebec police did not release information on the recovery of Jocko’s body but family listed his death as a result of a boating accident on the St. Lawrence River.

Jocko’s family laid him to rest this past Sunday.
