Teams consisted of groups of students, groups of teachers, or a blend of both.
The Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School held its first Indoor Bobsleigh Race on April 22, 2008. The event was spectacular, filled with thrills and excitement for both the spectators and participants. There were student teams, teacher teams and combination teacher and student teams entered in the race.
The event planned by Mr. Claude Chevrier, Phys Ed Teacher, involved teams of four participants scooting across the floor while holding their teammates ankles. To win, the entire team had to be connected when they crossed the finish line.
The winners of the First Indoor Bobsled Race was the team of Brandy Pierce, Mary Jacobs, Shayla Oakes and Kelly Pierce. Congratulations to the winners and to all who participated...you made it a very entertaining event!
