12th Annual Without Violence Award Essay Contest

The ‘Without Violence Award’ is open to all graduating grade 8 Akwesasne students.  This includes, but is not limited to, students from Salmon River, JW Leary, Kanatakon, Freedom School, Trinity Catholic School or any private institutions. The student is required to write/type a 3-7 page essay on this year’s topic:  “Provide three alternatives/strategies that will prevent violent situations.”  The student must include a cover page with the following information:  name, address, school, date, age, teacher and homeroom.  The successful winner will receive $500.00 and a plaque to be placed within their school for the next school year.  You may drop-off, e-mail or snail mail your essay to the following people/addresses:  Shannon Hall, P.
