Letter to the editor:

On Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 6 p.m., The Ahkwesahsne Community was invited to attend the first organization meeting of our local contractors.

 21 members showed their support and ideas were exchanged.

- A commitment to work together.

- A commitment to hire native contractors

- A commitment to invest in Ahkwesahsne.

These commitments are examples of just a few of the topics that our group discussed.  The next meeting will be held at the Hogansburg Volunteer Fire Hall at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008.

All concerned community members are welcome.
