On Monday, February 4th, the Salmon River Lady Shamrocks faced off against the Saranac Lake Red Storm in the first round of playoffs. Salmon came out on top with a 6-0 victory. Leading the scoring was Alley Bero who racked up a hat trick. Single goals went to Rori Francis-Herne, Krista Oakes, and Savannah Francis. Tameka Thompson and Presley Mitchell shared the net minding for the shutout. This was the quaterfinal game, sending the Shamrocks to the Semi-finals in Oswego this weekend.
On Saturday, February 9, Potsdam will play Canton at 10:00 am and Salmon will play Oswego at 7:00 pm. The losers of these games will play the consolation game on Sunday, February 10, at 12:00 noon and the winners will play the New York State Championship game at 3:00 pm. All games will be held at SUNY Oswego.
