A Voice from the Eastern Door
Hockey spectators at Potsdam’s Maxcy Hall on Sunday, Jan. 27 included some Akwesasne faces who were there to cheer on two Ahkwesahsne team members: Amanda King and Cara Terrance.
Sunday’s game was between the Potsdam Bears Women’s Hockey Club and Syracuse University. Syracuse defeated Potsdam with a score of 5-2.
The first goal was scored by #19 Desiree Webster from Potsdam in the first period. The 2nd goal for Potsdam came from Amanda King in the third. Their efforts were too short to come out on top. Cara Terrance did her best in her defensive duties. She also lined up offensively to try to get more goals.
The dedicated coaches are: Head Coach Jay Herne and Assistant Coach Lindsay Charlebois.
