Madrid-Waddington and Salmon River matched up to play basketball on Friday, Jan.18 in Fort Covington. The Jr. Varsity and the Varsity games were both fast-paced and exciting.
Shawn Martin’s junior Shamrocks team had come from behind but couldn’t quite catch up for the win.
In the varsity action, the points were made by Dan Gerow, Derek Herne, Travis Phillips, Zach Bonaparte, Dan Trembley, Pat Durant and Nick Wilke.
The three pointers were made by Derek Herne and Dan Gerow. For MW, points were made by Woodard and Lindsay. The final score was 55 for Madrid Waddington and 39 for Salmon River.
Dan Gerow finished his game with 21 points. He was recently nominated to be the Athlete Student of the month of December for SRC.
