HONOUR ROLE
STUDENTS ATTEND
OTTAWA SENATORS GAME
On Thursday January 10, 2008 Kana:takon school took their honour role students to the Ottawa Senators game. The students were treated to dinner and the game between Ottawa and Buffalo. Courtney Thomas and Kevin Brisson drove and chaperoned the event on behalf of Kana:takon School. Courtney and Kevin would like to extend a big thank you to the students and the parents involved. Everyone co-operated and were patient even with a later than anticipated arrival time.
POW-WOW DRUM
DONATED
On Friday January 11, 2008 Sam Benedict presented our school with a traditional Pow-Wow Drum. The drum will be used in Mohawk classes, and a boys and girls singing group will be formed. Sam and his daughter Kaylynn Thompson raised the money for the drums. Sam received most of the money from Social Services. The students and staff would like to extend Niawenko:wa to Sam and Kaylynn.

•Share their ideas and opinions with classmates during discussions
Generosity doesn’t just mean giving “stuff”. Generosity means having a full heart and a willingness to share time, goodwill, ideas, talents, and ourselves with others.
