    The Akwesasne Stars remain undefeated in the 2016-17 Cornwall Indoor Soccer league. On the other hand the Lady Devils took a few games to shake off the rust but they righted the ship and got their first win last Sunday 5-1 over The Orange Team.     Salmon River booters outlast the Wildcats The last home game for the boys' varsity soccer team ended the way they hoped it would; a 4-2 win over Gouverneur(2-13,1-11). A senior game is always sweeter with a win for the fans. Clayton Jones found the back of the Wildcat net with a shot set up by Cameron Cartier to put the Shamrocks on the scoreboard.     They did it. The Massena Central varsity girls volleyball team wrapped up their second straight undefeated season, closing out with a win against Salmon River. They have not lost a regular season game since 2014.     The 5th annual Fall Brawl Tournament took place under windy and rainy weather on Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Jacobs Field and Generations Park.     Varsity Shamrock girls’ soccer team ties Massena 4-4 Massena was first on the scoreboard just four minutes into the first half when Novaleigh Lagrow finished off a play started by Kyrsten Stone.     Weeks ago the Akwesasne Stars and Lady Devils ended their soccer season. Earlier this week at the Benson Center in Cornwall they started it up again. The Cornwall Indoor Soccer league began play and the two Akwesasne based teams went 0-1-1. Early Sunday the Lady Devils lost their game 2-0 to the Glengarry Gaels and the Stars played Campeaus Angels to a 1-1 tie. After a scoreless first half Taylor Francis got the Stars on the scoresheet.     The hurrah on the local lacrosse scene took place last weekend but the top award went to Kahnawake. The Randall "Mann" Jacobs Memorial Lacrosse tournament was held at the Travis Solomon Memorial Box at Generations Park and teams came in from Tyendinaga and Kahnawake.
