    Salmon River and Massena saw positive results in recent lacrosse games against Plattsburgh, Heuvelton and Saranac Lake-Lake Placid. That included a narrow double-OT win by the Lady Raiders over Canton. On Saturday, April 27, Keldren King and Treyton Mitchell each scored five times to pace the ‘Rocks offense as they downed Plattsburgh 14-6. King also tallied three assists.     The 2019 Boston Marathon took place on Monday, April 15, 2019.     Submitted by Lynda Brown On April 18th, Tsi Snaihne School Girls competed in the Upper Canada Junior Girls Basketball Tournament. Their round robin record was 3-1 (beating R-O, Viscount and Bridgewood). There was a 3-way tie for first and we advanced with the best point differential. In the semi-finals, we defeated R-O Blue team (18-0) and in the finals we defeated Williamstown (18-4) to win the "A" Championship. The girls played unbelievably hard and showed great sportsmanship.     The Raisin Region Conservation Authority's (RRCA) 47th Annual Raisin River Canoe Race left St. Andrews West on a sunny April morning, and wound its way downstream to Williamstown. The forecasted afternoon rain didn't stop the 207 canoes and kayaks comprising of 350 paddlers of all ages from near and far, who entertained spectators all along the 30 km route. On Monday, April 8, the Lady Raiders built an 8-4 lead by halftime and went on to defeat the Sandstoners 12-10. Katelyn Kennedy paced the Massena offense with three goals.
