The Bucks were triumphant over the Tuscarora Tomahawks 12-5 Sunday afternoon. The Bucks swept the Sr B league's championship in their first year of existence with a 4-0 final, earning them a spot in the Presidents Cup Canadian Sr B championship to be played in Kahnawake August 25 - September 1. The final hurdle was the Nepean Knights who gave the Indians the most problems throughout the year and the playoffs were no different. In the Sunday, July 21 game, the Muskies scored all the goals they would need in the opening 20 minutes. The final score was 13-3. After losing the first two games of the series the Indians won three straight over the weekend. On Saturday, July 13, the Muskies played the Axemen at Earl Armstrong Arena in Gloucester with Ottawa winning 16-12. The first period ended in a tie, but the Axemen pulled ahead and outscored the Muskies in both the middle and closing stanzas. By Andy Gardner The Bear's Den Mohawk Medicine Men have wrapped up their 2019 season after making it to the first round of playoffs against the Onondaga Red Hawks. Onondaga won two straight games to clinch the best-of-three series. The first was a 16-12 in at Onondaga on Friday, July 12. The Akwesasne Iron Girls: Karen Francis, Amanda Jacobs, Tasha Thompson and Terri Rios-Passon participated in the 2019 Women's Philadelphia Triathlon – Women's PHLTRI on Saturday, July 6, 2019. The triathlon consisted of a 300-meter swim, a nine-mile bike ride and a 5k run.
