By Andy Gardner The Massena Lady Raiders posted a decisive 5-2 victory over Franklin Academy at home on Friday, Dec. 27 and the Lady Shamrocks battled to a 1-1 tie with Clinton the same evening. In the Massena game, the Raiders scored all they needed plus an insurance goal in the opening stanza. By Andy Gardner MASSENA -- Massena’s sport fishing promoter says Fishing League Worldwide is asking for a unique spectacle when they bring their title championship to town this summer. Also, FLW is looking to sanction competitive fishing teams at local schools. Last Saturday they were tied 1-1 against the visiting South Grenville Rangers and with six seconds left on the clock, Hayden Walker picked up the loose puck in the neutral zone and took off toward Wolves goalie Xavier Delormier and scored for the 2-1 win. On December 11th, students from Kanatakon, Tsi Snaihne and Kawehnoke Schools met with Cornwall and area schools at Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School for a junior tournament. Shamrocks standout Tim Cook Jr. made the list, which the newspaper published online on Sunday, Dec. 8.
