Congratulations to the Akwesasne Atom B Wolves on winning gold this past weekend (Feb 14-17) at the Rockland Annual Hockey Tournament. The Wolves placed 7th overall after a 3 game round-robin in the 16 team tournament. They moved on to the quarter-finals where they beat the Cumberland Rockets 4-1. The ‘Rocks lost to Section 3 champions the Clinton Warriors on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, the site of the legendary “Miracle on Ice” during the 1980 Winter Olympics. The boys teams played Friday, Jan. 31 in Massena. The Raiders took an early lead and didn't let go until the final buzzer.
