The Watertown Daily Times has applauded Salmon River and Massena athletes as members of their 2019-20 Times All-North Teams. In Division II, which includes Salmon River, Tim Cook Jr., Alex Oakes and Ian French were named Section 10 Athletes of Distinction. Massena has been denied a chance to continue in state playoffs now that the New York Public High School Athletic Association has canceled all winter championships. The Raiders had been waiting to hear if “indefinite postponement” of the remainder of post-season could ultimately reverse in their favor. They will now represent New York State in the USA Hockey National Championships to be held in West Chester, Pennsylvania (20 miles from Philadelphia) on April 2 – 6, 2020.
