    The Watertown Daily Times has applauded Salmon River and Massena athletes as members of their 2019-20 Times All-North Teams. Their First Team includes Salmon River forward Tim Cook Jr. He is a forward who scored 19 goals with 15 assists this past season. “Tim was one of the best two-way players I’ve ever coached.     Massena has been denied a chance to continue in state playoffs now that the New York Public High School Athletic Association has canceled all winter championships. The Raiders had been waiting to hear if “indefinite postponement” of the remainder of post-season could ultimately reverse in their favor. They will now represent New York State in the USA Hockey National Championships to be held in West Chester, Pennsylvania (20 miles from Philadelphia) on April 2 – 6, 2020.     By Andy Gardner The Massena Raiders boys and girls basketball contingents were both unable to best Malone in Section 10 Class A championship bouts at SUNY Potsdam on Monday, Feb. 24. The final score was 55-48. In the boys competition, Massena got out to a 17-7 lead after the first quarter and increased that to 26-18 at the half.
