Thursday, May 20 featured the Salmon River girl’s lacrosse squadron downing Canton 23-13 at home. Karah White scored six goals with a helper for Salmon River. Carey Terrance has been selected for the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) draft prospect. Terrance currently plays for the Kemptville 73's U18 team as a center and in 2019- 2020, he played for Toronto Titans. Salmon River came up short against Massena in Tuesday Dual Track Meet, but two athletes stood out – Cayde Lazore and Krissy Oakes both earned four first place titles in their events. Senior Night is traditionally when the respective teams pause for a brief ceremony and applaud their graduating senior student-athletes. The Salmon River Shamrocks paused during a recent boys basketball game and paid tribute to their five seniors who are playing their final season with the green and white. In a unique situation that will see MSL teams drafting graduating players without having the benefit of directly scouting the players since the 2019 season, Major Series Lacrosse held its 2021 Entry Draft on Thursday, March 18.
