    If you’ve ever had to go to Dr. Danielle Dubuc’s office, you know who my sister Deanie is. She has worked with the community for many years helping you with your eye care needs. On August 12, 2021, my family was devastated when my sister Deanie had suffered a stroke. MCA Ambulance was called and they transported her to Cornwall and then she was transported to Ottawa.     This past June, the Orangeville Northmen Jr “A” lacrosse team developed an idea to attend our community of Akwesasne for an exhibition game as well as a cultural exchange. The idea was discussed and eventually turned into an idea of an invitational lacrosse tournament with two objectives, to bring awareness to the residential school incidents and to give the youth an opportunity to showcase their talents after not having played in nearly two years. Three Feathers Cafe owner, Valene Gray, took on the Meals on Wheels Program during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring our elders who participate in the program received their meals in a timely manner.     THANK YOU!!! To All Who Supported Me, On Sunday, September 13 I became very sick. I had a very bad cough, headache, body aches, chills, congestion, and I was having a hard time breathing. When I monitored my oxygen levels, they had dropped down to 89%. My husband took me to the ER that evening. We sat in the ER from 10 PM until 8 AM the next morning.
