On September 2, 2015, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service began an investigation into the deaths of 2 men after the Seadoo they were travelling on capsized near the east end of Cornwall Island on the St. Lawrence River. Investigation has revealed that the 3 passengers on the Seadoo may have recently entered Canada from India.
