    British Columbia, Canada The Supreme Court of Canada unanimously decided that if the tobacco industry is forced to pay damages to the BC government for tobacco-related health care costs, the federal government will not be required to reimburse the tobacco industry for those damages.     Deer Lake First Nation, Ontario, Canada On July 7 the following information was released - Forest fires are burning out of control 3.5 kilometres from Deer Lake, a remote northwest First Nations community in Northern Ontario and residents need your help in this time of emergency. Approximately 480 residents have been airlifted by Canadian Forces aircraft to Greenstone, Ontario.     Confederate Salish and Kootenai of the Flathead Reservation, Montana, United States A 12-inch oil pipeline burst on July 1 contaminating the Yellowstone River within the traditional lands of the Confederate Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
