Everyone who attended had the opportunity to apply for the upcoming fall courses, which are being offered at Iohahi:io by St. Lawrence College. Traditional Arts in Upstate New York (TAUNY) is in the midst of its annual spring fundraiser, which needs to raise $70,000 by June 30th to support TAUNY’s public education programs. The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe held their annual elections on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9am to 5pm in the lobby of the Tribal community building. Michael Conners Jr., the Tribal Sub-Chief won with 413 votes, followed by Ron Lafrance Jr. with 318 votes and Sharlee Thomas with 269 votes. 7 votes were considered 'Spoiled' and 12 'Void'. On Wednesday, June 7, 2017, an anonymous threatening note was brought to the attention of the Salmon River Central School administration, which caused Salmon to enter into their protocol of safety procedures to ensure the safety of all SRCS students and staff.
