Our host team the Cornwall Nationals, who practice three times a week here, are also in first place. The kids had a few laughs while learning about a couple of timeless classics. The DuffleBag Theatre group paid a visit to the St. Regis Mohawk School last week bringing with them productions of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Robin Hood. The theatre troupe does improvisation using members from the audience to play the various characters. Shekon, Our children are our future! Sadly, one of the greatest threats to their future is child obesity. As you know, I completed the 2017 Quebec City Marathon (26.2 miles) and raised $3,800 to combat child obesity in Akwesasne. The Constitution Pipeline project is on hold after its petition was denied Thursday, January11, 2018 by the Federal Energy Regulation Commission (FERC). After being denied permits by New York State last year, the Constitution Pipeline had attempted to have the decision overturned on a federal level. (January 9, 2018) AKWESASNE – The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Compliance Department recently completed an investigation into the improper sale and distribution of New York State-issued cigarettes from mid-October to December 1, 2017.
