    On Friday September 29th, 2017, the Akwesasne Suicide Prevention Coalition presented Dr. Darryl Tonemah as guest speaker for their Suicide Prevention Workshop. Dr. Tonemah's workshop was made possible by a grant through the Mental Health Alcohol Chemical Dependency Program and Native Connections. The workshop was free and open to the community to attend.     The St. Regis Mohawk School Parent Teacher Organization and Title I worked together to put on three pancake breakfasts during the month of September. Each student in grades Pre K to Grade 5 were allowed to invite one family member to attend the breakfast. In total, we had 217 family members attending our events.
