Six month old “Collin Bear” came to visit all his Totas and staff at Indian Time on Wednesday. Philomena Kebec is a Staff Attorney of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of the Chippewa Indians. Museum of Civilization consultants and staff; along with Mohawk Council of Akwesasne staff visited Indian Time on Thursday, Oct. 20. They are focusing on the culture of 11 First Nations and Inuit communities in Quebec to prepare for the next permanent exhibit of the Musee de la civilization, which will be opening March 2013 in Quebec City. Under the Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement, those who attended any of the Indian Residential Schools identified in the agreement are entitled to receive a Common Experience Payment. The deadline to apply for this entitlement is Monday, September 19, 2011.
