    The Akwesasne Justice Department would like to inform the community that the Akwesasne Court will be postponed until May 12, 2021. With Ontario implementing the province-wide “emergency brake” until May 1, it is in the best interest of the community to postpone the April 14th Akwesasne Court date.     AKWESASNE — Due to expected dry weather, sunshine, and low humidity levels there is an elevated risk of uncontrolled wildfires. As a result, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, and the Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department (HAVFD) are reminding individuals that a burn ban remains in effect for the entire Akwesasne community during the State of Emergency.
