    Dec 18, 2014

On Thursday December 11, 2014, the press was abuzz about a just released Department of Justice memorandum titled “Policy Statement Regarding Marijuana Issues in Indian Country.” Some news outlets heralded the memorandum as a pathway for Indian tribes to enact laws to legalize use of recreational marijuana on their reservations. We worked together like Santa’s elves, challenging one another to get the job done. There was plenty of laughter and at times a few frowns, but we were quickly assured “not to worry it would all come together,” and it did! Thanks to all the good elf responders. So you c...

  • JUST THE FACTS

    Dec 18, 2014

For the years the neighbor (my brother) has tried on numerous occasions to claim portions of my property, however unsuccessfully, but continued attempts were made that even had Council members inquiring to me about the property. I advised them that the property line was not changing to accommodate anyone, the property was left to me by my father and no one was changing that for their benefit. My actions over the past few months have been in reaction to the theft of my land; it was NOT done to HARASS people. I replied to this thief in a civil...
