There were treasures for just about everyone at this past weekend’s Treasures of Christmas fundraiser at the St. Regis Recreation. Community members and businesses donated large baskets of merchandise to the recreation and they were auctioned and raffled off to the lucky and the generous. The first Christmas trees recorded in America, in the year 1747, were not actual trees, but wooden pyramids covered with evergreen branches.
