This past weekend, Kawehnoke Recreation hosted their Spirit of Christmas event. This year they had around thirty Christmas trees and wreaths donated by the community for this event. This event was a fundraiser for the Kawehnoke Recreation center, so they can continue to hold events year round for the benefit of the community. The Caring Hearts Team would like to thank Karennahawi Barnes for her generous donation. She raised money for our team by doing a bake sale instead of having a birthday party. She raised $200.50 at her sale and delivered the money to Iakhihsohtha. In October she attended a Fall Festival we hosted and really enjoyed the afternoon she spent with the Totas.
