Akwesasne's 1st Parade of Lights and Tree Lighting took place this past Friday December 1st. The event began at the Generations Park, with many businesses, associations and individuals participating by decorating a vehicle or float with beautiful lights and decorations. The main event was the big reveal of their brand new Ice Resurfacer, which took a lot of time and fundraising efforts to obtain. Frank was born October 14, 1922 in Kahnawake, Quebec, the son of the late Angus and Mary Captaine McComber. From now until December 15, 2017, for every letter to Santa that is received Macy’s Department store will donate $1 to Make-a-Wish Foundation, up to a million dollars.
