    On Sunday, December 9, the Kids in the Kitchen event was held at the Snye Recreation Hall. Kids and parents were invited to make pumpkin rolls and gingerbread houses and got to take them home when they were finished. The event runs from 1pm-3pm, but will usually go later.     On Sunday, C.A.T.S. Spay and Neuter held a benefit at the Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club. People were encouraged to come down and have pictures of their favorite pets taken together with Santa Claus and themselves, and a photo was generated on the spot. Lucky kids who stopped in with their parents had a chance to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they wished for Christmas.     Last Wednesday, the St. Regis Mohawk School hosted Cookies and Crafts with Santa. At least 138 kids were signed in along with their families. Children had the opportunity to make all sorts of crafts, with some 15 tables set up with various activities like writing a letter to Santa, making gingerbread houses, wrapping boxes, and decorating their own giant sugar cookies.
