Thank you, On September 26th 2013, when I was doing some maintenance in the Maple-hackory Trail, at the Lake St-François National Wildlife Area, I fell on a rock. With an intense pain in the back, I couldn't get up on my feet. Then, a rescue team came to help me on this trail, about 1 km away from the 132 Road. Last Wednesday night, the Kanatakon School was the site for the Kids Comic-Con put on by Akwesasne Child and Family Services. The gym was filled with characters as 22 ACFS staff were in costume. Ironman also returned for ACFS and brought Batman with him. This was the first event of the kind for ACFS and it was to celebrate National Child Day. There were a few vendors and lots of prizes. On Thursday night, the Middle School gym at Salmon River was home to the STEM Greek Fest. There were several vendors selling goodies and lots of student display booths themed around ancient Greece. The Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Departments, the Akwesasne Mohawk Ambulance Unit and the three Recreation Centers all received early gifts to kick off the Holiday Season. It was put on by the ladies of the Akwesasne Coalition for Community Empowerment and was part of the National Aboriginal Addiction Awareness week activities.
