It was a heartbreaking loss last Friday in Winchester. After a back and forth game the Winchester Hawks handed the Akwesasne Wolves a 4-3 overtime loss. Wolves points-leader Nick Talarico opened the scoring on the power play with a blast through a crowd of players with Jacob Swamp and Derik Dione assisting. The action and goals came at a rapid clip as the North Franklin Mites program participated in a "Mites Day" event in Norwood-Norfolk. The other teams were host NN, Canton and Ogdensburg. The rink at the Zappa arena was divided into two, and the teams played one 12 minute running time period.
