The tumultuous school year faced by faculty and staff and the St. Regis Mohawk School could be back to normal this coming January. A few months back Jacobs Tobacco Company had a promotion called “Design on a disCOUNT”, where one lucky winner would receive a room make over on us. The winner of the promotion was Sue Wing from Ogdensburg. On Saturday afternoon the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne’s Wholistic Health and Wellness Program organized a Family Fun Day at the St. Regis Recreation Centre. On November 20th of every year, Canada and other countries around the world use the day to draw awareness to various child-related issues, and to also give children a day just for them.
