The organization is nonprofit that serves families in need throughout the North Country. It is run entirely by volunteers and funded through donations and a few small grants from Franklin County. Reports were given on meetings, attended in the last 3 months including the meeting with the U.S. State Department on the passport issue. The Akwesasne Warriors Professional Hockey team paid a visit to the Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club last Thursday. Five of the Warriors players spoke to the youth who attend the programs at the Club, sending the message that as long as you work for it, you can achieve your goals.
