  • Collaborative Project Achieves Sturgeon Release in Salmon River

    On Tuesday, a collaborative effort of Tribal, State and Federal levels came together in the name of conserving lake sturgeon. It all started in June when eggs were collected from sturgeon at Hawkins Point.   • Tribal Council Advises Community to be on Alert

    Akwesasne Mohawk Territory – Akwesasne has experienced two fires in abandoned homes in the past two days. Both fires occurred around 10:30 p.m. As a result, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council is urging community members to be on the alert for suspicious activity. It’s not clear if the fires have been caused by the same person or not, but community members are advised to securely store any flammable liquids, keep doors locked on both their homes and any sheds, barns or garages.
