    If you live in the Tsi Snaihne (Snye) or State Road areas of Akwesasne and heard a loud bang Saturday night you weren’t imagining things. According to Natural Resources Canada, a 2.2. magnitude earthquake rumbled just underneath the territory between 7 p.m. and midnight with it’s epicenter near the end of Hart Road just south of Drum Street.     The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that it has received information from Quebec that indicates that the province will implement a new system to allow Native people to receive point-of-sale tax exemption for gasoline purchased on reserve.
