They also recognized six players who will graduate in the spring: Aleska Mora-Williams, Ariyah LaFrance, Gardyn Robertson, Ieniente Tabor, Kaylynn Leaf and Makenna Manson. On October 17, the charges against Lazore were reduced to second degree murder due to his mental health. In addition to lessening the charge to second degree murder, Lazore, a First Nations person meant a Gladue report was issued, and the report further reduced his sentence. The Kawehno:ke Recreation Committee (KRC) donated faceless, singing dolls to the Early Years classes at the Akwesasne Mohawk School (AMS). KRC members Lyn and Kuy Chaussi presented the dolls to every AMS Early Years class. The dolls were made by Cheyenne Doxtator and the singing dolls sing in the Kanieńkehá:ka language.
