They swept the Salmon River Shamrocks in Fort Covington on Tuesday, Oct. 25 by final scores of 25 – 20, 25 – 19, and 26 – 24. Massena’s Krysha Angus tallied nine kills and five points. The Lady Raiders swim team barely slipped past Ogdensburg Free Academy on Monday, Oct. 21, despite dropping the top finish in seven out of 11 events. The final score was Massena 48, OFA 46. Emily Hurlbut took two individual first place finishes and one relay. Baylee Carroll took a first and second place in two individual events and two relay second place finishes. Massena's varsity girls and boys soccer squads each picked up home wins on Monday, Oct. 21 and Wednesday, Oct. 23 respectively. The girls squad took down the Potsdam Lady Sandstoners 2 – 0. On Tuesday, October 22, the Lady Shamrock swimmers were host to Potsdam for an NAC meet. The Lady Sandstoners swam away with a 60-33 win. The 200 Medley team consisting of Carly LaFrance, Clair Russell, Lauren Martin and Caroline Russell, started out the meet with a first place finish in 2:28.61. There are two words to describe the Lady Shamrock volleyball team and they are determination and solidarity. The girls came ready and eager to play but fell short on Tuesday, October 22, at home against Massena by scores 20-25, 19-25, 24-26. The Salmon River varsity boy's soccer squad ended its regular season with two NAC wins over Gouverneur and Massena at home last week.
