    The Joint Investigation Team of the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service concluded an investigation into a drug trafficking operation in Snye this past Saturday night, October 22, 2016. The month long investigation ended with a Search Warrant at a residence in Snye where police seized undisclosed amount of crack cocaine, cocaine in powdered form, marihuana and mixed currency. The search warrant was executed at approximately 8:40 PM, when members of the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service entered into the residence and arrested one male for drug charges...

    The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe presented the last in a series of three community meetings on Thursday, October 19, 2016, leading up to a community wide referendum on medical marijuana and industrial hemp.
