Last week HAVFD Station # 1 held Fire Prevention Week activities for St. Regis Mohawk School students. Over the 3 days of activities, about 400 students came through the fire station. Firefighters and volunteers touched on several subjects about safety. Jason McDonald talked about drugs and Internet danger. He told the kids never to post about their family’s whereabouts on social media websites like Facebook because you invite burglars to your home. “Everything can happen around here,” he said....

Last Wednesday night, HAVFD Station # 3 held an open house to celebrate Fire Prevention Week and opened the Snye station to the public. Station # 3 had visited the Kanatakon School and ECDP Headstart earlier in the week to teach the kids fire safety.
