The Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School’s Girl’s Soccer Team won the “B” Championship in the Annual Stormont Schools Tournament on Oct. 17 at the Kinsmen Field in Cornwall. Seven lacrosse teams battled it out over the weekend for possession of the first Confederacy Cup. The 2-day field lacrosse tournament was created this year to benefit and promote a new lacrosse club, the Kanienkehaka Krunch. Following a round-robin format tournament, the Cup was awarded to the Warriors, who also walked away with a $1500 prize.
