    Authorities from Ontario’s Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad (ROPE), Eastern Region, is requesting the public’s assistance in nabbing six wanted parolees who are believed to be hiding in Akwesasne.     St. Regis Mohawk School Principal Sharlee Thomas announced this week that asbestos cleanup will begin at the school on Oct. 27, 2008. School officials made the decision earlier this fall to have all asbestos in the school removed, rather than continuing the long-followed and common approach of leaving the asbestos covered and untouched.
