    By Andy Gardner The Salmon River Shamrocks won the Volley for a Cure Tournament at Massena High School on Saturday, Oct. 5. Salmon River played the OFA Blue Devils in the finals and won 2-1. The Lady Shamrocks are back in action at home this Tuesday versus the Gouverneur Wildcats at 6pm. Massena defeated Gouverneur in three straight sets on Thursday, Oct. 3. The scores were 25-16, 25-7 and 25-17. Tsiakoseriio David set the offensive pace with 19 service points and five kills.     By Andy Gardner The Massena girls and boys had an unlucky week, with most of their games lost by just a single goal, and one tie with Canton. The Raider girls hosted Gouverneur in their final home game of the season on Monday, Sept. 30. The Wildcats won 1-0 off a goal from Laney Smith with 3:22 left in the game.     By Andy Gardner The Massena Raiders football team went against hosts Canton on Saturday, Oct. 5 and lost 40-22. Dylan Lazore caught Massena’s only complete pass of the game for 16 yards. Quarterback Dominic Monacelli had a tough day, completing just the one pass of 16 attempts. He also rushed 86 yards on 10 carries and ran in two touchdowns.
