The North Franklin Soccer season winds down this week with playoffs starting this weekend. Last Sunday, two North Franklin teams in the age nine and ten division played their final games against each other at the Bombay fields. The Black team defeated the Green team 3-0. This Sunday the playoffs will be a one-day tournament to determine the Championship at the same Bombay field. The games begin at 10:00 am....

After trading touchdowns to open their Friday, Oct. 3 match against the Canton Golden Bears, the Massena Red Raiders scored 26 uninterrupted points and won 34-12. Submitted by Johanne Sullivan The Seaway Valley Rapids Minor Atom team took a break from the regular season to travel to Jay Peak, Vermont and participate in the Green Mountain Avalanche AAA hockey tournament. The round robin portion of the tournament began Friday, October 3, 2014, at the Ice Haus Arena against the Northstars from Westborough, Massachusetts.
