    Salmon River School District officials announced Wednesday that pre-k and kindergarten students at the St. Regis Mohawk School in Akwesasne are being relocated to the Salmon River campus school while a mold problem continues to be investigated and repaired. Previously, a moisture and mold problem was discovered in the school’s first and second grade wing – the oldest wing of the building.     Akwesasne Territory.  The St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Council announced today that it is expanding its home heating fuel assistance program for the coming winter to all homes in the community that heat with fuel oil, kerosene or propane.  Last year’s program provided help to low-income and senior households. Hosting the 2008 Iroquois Nations Cup lacrosse tournament in their home arena on Cornwall Island proved to be worth every minute.
