    Akwesasne Eagles Youth Flag Football sent both teams to Tri-Town Sunday morning for a double header and both teams came away victorious. Team 1 won their game 35-7. Leading the way offensively was Edward Jacobs with his first two touchdowns of the year. Jacobs’ first TD came on a 70 yard run, helped by great blocking from teammates.     The Massena girls varsity volleyball team is off to a winning start as they posted two wins last week in NAC action. On Tuesday, the Lady Raiders hosted Edward Knox and swept three games (25-4, 25-12, 25-8) to give them the win. Krista Loran led the Raiders as she served up 16 points. Amber Cunningham contributed 14 points to the win, while Janisa Benedict recorded nine points and nine kills.     Kate’s Team Massena Volleyball Tournament This year’s Massena Volleyball Tournament will be in memory of Kate O’Shaughnessy. Kate was an outstanding volleyball player at Massena for her entire high school career. She excelled at every aspect of the game. Unfortunately, she was taken well before her time. She was diagnosed with melanoma while attending Kingston University in Ottawa, Canada.
