    On Monday, September 9, 2019 at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Akwesasne Mohawk Police received a call of an individual suffering from unknown injuries. Police were dispatched to the area of River Road in Akwesasne, Quebec, where an off-duty paramedic was attending to the individual, a young male, who was seriously injured and unable to speak with police. Officers spoke with a second individual, who was also injured. Police obtained information that both subjects had been assaulted at a nearby residence and were transported to a hospital. Police...

Although the Powwow weekend started off a little wet and cloudy, it did not dampen anyone's spirits. The dancing and drumming competitions took place inside the arena on Saturday and were moved back outside during Sunday, ending the weekend off with lots of laughter and sunshine.     By: Jaclyn Hall At approximately 11am on Wednesday September 11th, Elders from Iakhihsohtha were escorted by MCA Chiefs to Walmart in Cornwall and they were greeted at the front doors by Walmart management. This includes our 303 registered dancers, 47 tiny tots, 7 drum groups, 11 traditional food vendors and 50+artisan craft vendors.     Five days into a massive airlift of bottled drinking water, the Seminole Tribe of Florida estimates it has delivered approximately 35,000 bottles of drinking water for victims of Hurricane Dorian.     By ABGC This summer we were able to run three successful summer camps. The Steps to Success in collaboration with the St. Regis Youth Services program we registered 150 youth. The Teen Future Leadership camp we registered fifty-five teens.
