    The Akwesasne Community Fund Review Team, on behalf of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA), is pleased to announce a new call out for applications for funding from the Akwesasne Community Fund. The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne has set up the Akwesasne Community Fund to provide financial support for community based, not-for-profit organizations and groups who are located and/or operate in the portion of Akwesasne coming under the jurisdiction of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne. This call out will have $150,000.00 available for distribution....

    On August 18 and 19, a girl's lacrosse camp was held at Generations Park. The Akwesasne Varsity Elite Skills Camp was put on by Akwesasne Attack in conjunction with Syracuse University(SU) players. Over 20 girls attended the camp. There were 5 SU women's lacrosse players as coaches, which gave the camp a great 5 to 1 player/coach ratio.     The 2014 Cedar View Golf Club (CVGC) Club Championships were held on August 9 and 10. Sixty Golfers competed in what is the big annual competition for Club members.
