    MCA Environment Program staff and community members gathered on Saturday, August 14, 2021 to clean the shoreline along the St. Lawrence River in Kana:takon. They gathered at the Point near the St. Regis Church Rectory and started picking up garbage and debris and followed along the shoreline heading east and west of the point. The three-day event commemorates the life of Joseph Commanda, the 13 year old Algonquin boy from the Pikwakanagan (Golden Lake) community in north central Ontario.
