    (August 14, 2019) The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service is continuing to investigate a recent homicide that occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in the district of Kana:takon (St. Regis). The victim has been identified as Jeffrey Allen Lazore-Arquette (age 58) of Akwesasne. AMPS investigators were called to the scene and the scene was secured and processed with assistance from the Sûreté du Quebec Forensic Identification Unit. The scene has since been released. While the weather called for high winds and fairly chill wind the community turned up with their floats and homemade rafts to enjoy a day on the river.     The Akwesasne Little Men Tug of War Team on their 1st place finish and Championship Trophy at the Williamstown Fair over the weekend. They went 10-2 overall and along with the trophy for 1st Place winning one thousand dollars. In their tradition of giving back, they always donate their winning to a person or a group who needs help. Lud was born March 13, 1931 in Chicago, the son of the late Walter Beeson and Helen Ludwig. He attended schools in Chicago and achieved his GED while in the Air Force.     Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 1 hour, 5 minutes Ingredients: • 2 eggs • 1 cup sugar • 1/3 cup olive oil • ½ cup yogurt • 1 & ½ cups flour • 1/3 cup cocoa powder • 1 & ½ teaspoon baking powder • ¼ teaspoon salt • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 3 cups grated and squeezed zucchini • 1 cup chocolate chips, ¼ of it for topping Instructions: 1.
