    The State and the Tribe entered into a contract, referred to as a gaming compact. At the demand of New York State, the Tribe reluctantly agreed to pay a percentage of our gross revenues in exchange for the exclusive right to operate slot machines in Upstate New York. In exchange for this payment, which has been over $55.7 million, the State had a responsibility to protect that right.     On July 25, 2012, at approximately 7:21 PM, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service received a call that there were people trying to break into a residence on Wishe Delormier Road, Akwesasne, Ontario. As police arrived, several people were observed inside a vehicle and a male was outside of the residence. Upon further investigation police learned that the subjects were present to collect a debt, and in doing so, items were taken and threats were made.
